2:00pm: Participants receive lobbying packets

2:30-4:30pm: Lobbying training. Come learn how to advocate (using role play!) for Tibet with your elected representatives in Washington, DC.

Monday, February 29, 2016

8-10:30am: Registration, distribution of participant lobbying packets and Congressional folders (please arrive at the ICT office at least two hours prior to your earliest scheduled appointment to sign in and pick up your lobbying materials).
Location: ICT, 1825 Jefferson Place, NW, Washington, DC

9am-5pm: Meetings with Senators and Representatives (personalized, detailed meeting schedules will be handed to participants at sign up).

4:30-5:30pm Meet with Representative Kaydor Aukatsang at the New Office of Tibet.
Location: Office of Tibet, (5 minutes walk from ICT) 1228 17th Street, NW, Washington, DC 2009

6:00-7:30pm: Reception for Lobby Day Participants. Light refreshments will be served.
Hosted by the Capital Area Tibetan Association and International Campaign for Tibet.

Asian Reading Room, Library of Congress: While at Capitol Hill, you can also visit the Asian Reading Room at the Library of Congress to view a display of Tibetan items from the Library’s Tibet collection.
